ISLAMABAD:

The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has issued a new set of guidelines on labelling alternative medicines and health products. According to a notification issued by the authority, the product information must be prominently printed on the label in both, English and Urdu.

If the product is of Greek (Unani), herbal, homoeopathic, ayurvedic, biochemical or traditional Chinese origin, this information must be prominently printed as well. If the product is a food supplement, nutraceutical or nutrition supplement, the product description must clearly state that it is not meant for the treatment of any disease.
