Event honours special children
Children showcase talent through tableaux, singing and live performances

A colourful cultural programme was organised at the Young Muslim Inclusive Education School for children with disabilities on Saturday. The event showcased Pakistani culture through the performances of special children, who appeared on stage in traditional attire and presented tableaux, singing and live performances.
Their outstanding performances were warmly applauded by the audience, who could not help but commend the special children for their talent and confidence.
The chief guest on the occasion was Haji Umar Farooq, District President of Pakistan Muslim League (N), Rawalpindi. He visited the projects, handmade items and cultural stalls prepared by the children. Speaking on the occasion, Haji Umar Farooq said that society has a profound responsibility towards children with disabilities, and that every possible effort must be made to fulfil their rights.
He described these children as innocent flowers who constantly need attention, care, hard work and love, and stressed that they must be provided with their rightful share of happiness, necessities and facilities.
He assured full support to the extent possible and pledged continued struggle for the rights of children with disabilities.
He further remarked that special children will be exempt from accountability on the Day of Judgement, whereas ordinary individuals will face a very strict trial.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Farhat Anwar said that she has been performing her professional duties for the past 14 years and that, despite limited resources, the institution is making every effort to provide all possible facilities to these special children.
The principal appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to facilitate private institutions alongside government organisations, so that such schools may be better equipped to discharge their responsibilities.
This, she said, would help nurture these innocent children with care, dedication and love, enabling them to become productive members of society and serve the country and the nation.
The Young Muslim Inclusive Education School System has, for many years, been committed to the education, training and upbringing of children with disabilities.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, children who delivered outstanding performances were awarded prizes in recognition of their efforts.
