Opposition requisitions PA session
The joint opposition parties of Balochistan on Friday submitted a requisition to call provincial assembly proceedings to discuss issues, including locusts’ invasion and unannounced power breakdown in the province. The requisition submitted in the provincial assembly Speaker’s office sought debate on six-point agenda and was signed by 18 members of the assembly belonging to the opposition parties. It stated the speaker and governor of Balochistan should call the assembly proceedings to initiate debate on prolonged power outages, locust invasion, illegal smuggling of agricultural products, 15 years increase in Saindak lease project, Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and government’s interference in constituencies of opposition.
