QUETTA:

The Balochistan government has decided not to allow makeshift sacrificial animals’ markets in the urban vicinities of the province following the Covid-19 threat. According to sources in the Home Department, people coming from other provinces and districts to sell their sacrificial animals will have to wear masks and gloves at the cattle markets, “The government has finalised SOPs for cattle markets in Balochistan and none of them would be allowed in the urban areas,” the source said, adding that a major market would be allowed to be set up near eastern bypass of Quetta. The cattle markets would be divided into three sections while the PDMA staff would provide safety equipment for the buyers and sellers. Meanwhile, volunteers of the Tiger Force and Civil Defense Department would inform the general public and cattle owners about the Covid-19 spread and precautions.
