Six cars, as many bikes recovered from alleged thieves

Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons

ISLAMABAD:

Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of Islamabad police claimed to have busted an alleged gang of car and motorbike thieves and recovered six cars and as many motorcycles from them, a police spokesman said.

A special team under supervision of ACLC In-charge Sub-Inspector Liaqat Ali, ASIs Sajid Mehmood, Abrar, Mashooq Ali, Manzoor Elahi, Gulzar Ahmed, along with other officials arrested three suspects who were dubbed as members of Kohstani Gang involved in selling stealing vehicles from the capital.

The suspects have been identified as Anwarul-Haq, Ejazul Haq and Altaf Hussain Shah resident of district Batagram while police recovered six stolen car and six stolen motorbikes from their possession.

The registration number of recovered vehicles are as follows: Suzuki Mehran AWP-402, Honda Civic Car, Honda City Car JB-941, Suzuki Bolan, Honda Civic, Corolla Car LWK-020. The bikes recovered from the suspects bear registration number as s follows: Honda CHL-5746, Honda C-D 70 AKR-618 and the rest were still at applied for registration status when they were stolen.

During the preliminary investigation, the suspects confessed to stealing these vehicles and motorcycles from various areas of twin cities.

Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them .
