Rs47.7m disbursed among heirs of deceased cops

LAHORE: Cheques worth Rs47.7 million were distributed among the families of 19 deceased police officials from the welfare fund on Friday during a ceremony held at the Lahore Capital City Police Office.

The ceremony was attended by Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Zulfiqar Hameed, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Administration Liaqat Ali Malik, other officers concerned and the families of the victims.

The CCPO distributed cheques among the families of the martyred police officials as well as those who passed away during the service.

He handed over a cheque worth Rs17.5 million to the widow of Shaheed Sajid Naseer, Rs2 million to the widow of Shaheed Constable Sarwar Baig.

The families of deceased personnel who died during service Talib, Javed, and Zahid Asghar were given cheques worth Rs1.9 million each.

Speaking on the occasion, CCPO Lahore Zulfiqar Hameed said that we maintain a strong bond with the families of the deceased personnel.

“The martyrs of the police are our honor and their sacrifice cannot be forgotten,” he stressed.
