Balochistan CM okays funds for Siddiq Baloch Academy

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Tuesday decided to release additional funds for the under construction Siddiq Baloch Media Academy.

“Government of Balochistan has also handed over documents of a residential colony for journalists while funds would be allocated for the boundary wall of Journalist Housing Scheme in next PSDP,” Jam Kamal said adding that funds would also be released for the canteen inside Quetta Press Club.

While discussing socio-economic woes of people attached with the newspapers industry, the CM said the pandemic has badly affected the poor labor of the newspaper industry, pledging to impart them relief.

During the meeting with President QCP, the chief minister directed the information secretary to display advertisements for local newspapers regarding the plan to establish a media city in Quetta where news channels and newspapers would be invited to set their offices.
