RAWALPINDI: The police have decided to conduct polygraph tests of a couple who are charged with assaulting their eight-year-old housemaid, Zahra, to death.

Moreover, police also intend to conduct voice analysis tests for both suspects and samples have been recorded in this respect.

Rawat police officials said that they suspect that one of the suspects had allegedly sexually assaulted the minor before she died and that they are awaiting reports of DNA samples sent to the forensic laboratory in Lahore to confirm their suspicions.

The officer, who is part of the investigation process but not allowed to speak to the media, told on the condition of anonymity that the cellphones of the couple are being tested forensically.
