K-P MNA Munir Orakzai passes away
Lawmaker had only recently recovered from the novel coronavirus
ORAKZAI:
National Assembly member (MNA) Munir Orakzai passed away in the Kurram district on Tuesday.
The 61-year-old Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) lawmaker had only recently recovered from an infection of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). Orakzai had initially tested positive for Covid-19 in April, confirmed the lawmaker’s nephew Irfanullah.
The lawmaker had travelled to the federal capital to attend a session of the parliament in a wheelchair. He fell ill during the session and was shifted to the Polyclinic Hospital.
Orakzai hailed from Kurram district and was elected on NA-45 during the 2018 general elections. He was laid to rest in his native village on Tuesday.
