Police examine CCTV footage to resolve the mysterious incident

Two amputated legs of a woman were found by sanitary workers in garbage in Nishtar Colony, sparking fear and panic among area residents.

Nishtar Colony police took the amputated legs into custody and started investigation regarding the mysterious incident.

Police said they were informed by city district government staff that they saw two legs of a person dumped in Saroba Garden as they began emptying a container full of garbage into their vehicle.

Upon the gruesome discovery, they immediately reported the details to Nishtar Colony police.

A heavy contingent of police reached the spot to collect evidence from the scene.

They took the severed body parts into their custody.

Police sent the legs to a morgue after informing Divisional Superintendent of Police (SP) Model Town, who formed a team to trace the woman.


Police also recorded the statement of the city district government worker after questioning the locals regarding the incident.

“Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footages of all routes leading to the garbage dump are being observed by investigators,” a police official revealed.

“If the rest of the woman's body is not found, forensic examination of the legs will be conducted,” he added.

A search operation is underway near the site to find more evidence.

Patrolling teams across the city have also been informed by the Nishtar Colony police through the Police Command Control System to contact them if they find any body parts of a woman in any area.

Police have also kept photographs and videos of the mutilated organs in the Crime Records Office for detailed evaluation.

The police investigation team has also requested details of all missing reported missing during the last week.
