ISLAMABAD: Both sides of Islamabad Highway will remain closed to traffic from June 19 to 22, owing to construction work of Zero Point Interchange.

CDA spokesman said construction of the new flyover bridge and demolition of the existing bridge on Kashmir Highway at Zero Point would take place during this time. He said that for convenience of the general public, an alternate traffic plan had been devised according to which, traffic movement from Faizabad Interchange towards Faisal Mosque would be diverted to Kashmir Highway from the newly constructed slip-road, falling near Zero Point interjection. The traffic would then take a U-turn from the road leading to Peshawar More and use the slip road toBlue Area. Traffic from Faisal Mosque could reach Faizabad by turning left to Khayaban-e-Suharwardy (Aabpara Road) Exit on Faisal Avenue and then turning right to Garden Avenue, reaching the I-8 intersection.
