ISLAMABAD: Former foreign secretary of Pakistan, Shamshad Ahmed Khan said that incidents such as Kashgar terrorist attacks will not affect the strong ties between Pakistan and China. Talking to Voice of America (VOA) on Tuesday, he asserted that China understands that Pakistan is passing through a critical phase and is in desperate need of support from its traditional allies. However, it was solely the responsibility of Pakistan to stop these attacks from happening.  Shamshad also noted that many Chinese workers and engineers have lost their lives in the past while working on different projects in Pakistan but those incidents have never adversely impacted Pak-China relations.
