Teachers seek relief package
Teachers playing vital role in creating awareness about Covid-19
BAHAWALPUR:
The Government Primary and Elementary Teachers Association requested ‘Educational relief Package’ and regularisation of service in the wake of the closure of education institutions following coronavirus cases in the country.
In a statement issued on Monday, the association’s Finance Secretary Kalsoom Rana Akhtar said that teachers had appealed to the government to provide them with relief package, extend the contractual period of contract teachers besides ensuring regularisation of their services.
She added that teachers had been playing a pivotal role in raising awareness among people about Covid-19. She voiced hope that the government would take steps for the welfare of academics.
