Man poisons minor daughters, kills one

Suspect reportedly mixed poison with fresh juice and fed it to his two minor girls

SWABI: At least one minor girl was killed while another was in critical condition after their father poisoned them following a brawl with his wife.

The incident occurred in the limits of the Zaida police station.

Family members told that the suspect would beat his wife and last night they fought over something again. The man reportedly mixed poison with a fresh juice and fed it to his two minor girls.

Both the minors were rushed to a nearby hospital in serious condition. One breathed her last on the way to the hospital while the other one is still under treatment, however, she is said to be in critical condition.

Local police said that they have begun an investigation into the incident and would soon share details with the media.

Meanwhile, Zaida police arrested alleged drug peddler Omar Rehan and recovered over five kilogrammes of cannabis from his possession.

The suspect was wanted to police in several cases.
