RAWALPINDI: The police on Thursday booked a suspect who allegedly raped a physically challenged minor girl at her home.

Police officials said that the victim’s parents had gone to see a doctor, leaving their 12-year-old daughter home alone. The suspect, MR*, who was acquainted with the family, exploited this opportunity to enter the house, allegedly raped the minor and fled.

The physically challenged girl narrated her ordeal to her parents upon their return. They subsequently lodged a complaint against the suspect.

Police said that medical reports proved that the minor had been raped, adding that they have collected all pieces of evidence from the site and recorded the victim's statement.
