Two more rescuers test positive for Covid-19

Rescue workers are working on the frontlines against the virus says officials

RAWALPINDI: At least two more Rescue 1122 workers have been found to be infected with the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) after their test results came back positive on Monday, a spokesperson for the rescue service said on Monday.

With the latest cases, the number of infected rescue workers has risen to six, the spokesperson said.

He added that both victims have been shifted to the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology and Kidney Transplant (RIUKT) for treatment where three other rescue workers are already receiving treatment.

One rescue worker who had contracted the virus has been discharged after making a full recovery.

The official said that rescue workers are working on the frontlines against the virus.
