Motorcyclists fall victim to speeding in three incidents

FAISALABAD:
At least four people, including an old woman, were killed and two others were injured in traffic accidents here on Thursday.

Muhammad Qasim, a resident of Chak 269RB, was on his way to Faisalabad from Shahkot with his son and another relative when a speeding truck hit their motorcycle on Slip Road near Chak 61RB.

As a result, 65-year-old Fateh Bibi and 42-year-old Qasim died on the spot, while Qasim's son Misbah was injured. He was shifted to a hospital.


Sources said a young man named Mohammad Tehrim, reportedly an employee of an intelligence agency, was going on a motorcycle to visit his relatives near Sheikhupura Road, Chak 61RB when a speeding car driven by Sultan Mehmood hit him. Tehrim succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, 26-year-old Saboor, son of Abdul Shakoor, died on the spot when two motorcycles collided due to speeding near Fawara Chowk in Ghulam Muhammadabad. Two people injured in the accident were taken to Allied Hospital.

Police took the bodies of the deceased into their custody and handed them over to the families after legal proceedings.
