GUJRANWALA: One man was killed and five people were severely injured in firing during a wedding on Sunday. The incident occurred during a wedding ceremony, when Jhelum resident Manzoor Elahi was leading his son Khuram’s wedding procession to Wazirabaad Rasool Nagar to marry Inayat Hussain’s daughter. Seating arrangements for the wedding guests had been arranged at the residence of a neighbour Nasir Shah’s house. After the nikah ceremony, Nasir Shah’s wife and several wedding guests quarreled. Following this, Nasir Shah opened fire on the wedding guests. The bridegroom’s father died, while five people including 75-year-old Manzoor Elahi, Shahnaz Begum and Perveen were severely injured.
