According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, over three millimetres of rain were recorded in Hyderabad by 5pm, bringing the city’s temperature down to 30 degree Celsius.
Widespread power outages immediately ensued after the downpour with the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company claiming the power supply had been suspended from 35 electricity feeders.
Meanwhile, two children were injured when the roof of a house in Kotri, Jamshoro district, collapsed during the rain. Separately, two other people were injured in a market in Tando Adam, Sanghar, when the signboards of some shops fell on the road due to the winds.
