CM debt relief scheme launched in Balochistan

Borrowers would repay the loan in three years with installments of Rs500 to Rs1,000

QUETTA:
Amid the coronavirus lockdown across the province, the Balochistan government has initiated a Chief Minister Debt Relief Scheme under which interest-free loans would be offered to families stricken by the virus-induced restrictions.

Under the first phase of the scheme, loan amount worth Rs10,000 to Rs20,000 would be made available to 25,000 families.


The borrowers would repay the loan in three years with installments of Rs500 to Rs1,000, according to a provincial government advertisement. The loan repayment would start after the coronavirus ends. Families belonging to Quetta, Sibi, Loralai, Pishin and Gwadar would apply for loan in the first phase.
