KARACHI: The Jamshed Quarters police filed a case pertaining to rape against a police official on Thursday night.
The complainant, K*, accused policeman Hasnain, deputed at the Jamshed Quarters police station, of barging into her house and raping her on April 16. According to her statement, the accused was in uniform on the day of the incident.
"Hasnain hit my husband with a glass plate when he came home, and it hit my forehead causing it to bleed," she claimed, adding that her husband and Hasnain then got into a fight, catching the attention of neighbours, who then gathered there.
She stated that Hasnain later arrived at the hospital where her husband had taken her for medical aid, and began shouting. "He took me to the police station and threatened my husband over the phone, telling him to divorce me," she added.
The police have registered the case and forwarded it to the investigation police.
