Injured robbers succumb to injuries

Police shot and killed two robbers while two others managed to escape during an encounter at the intersection of the New Karachi Industrial Area and SITE Super Highway on Tuesday night.
According to Central SSP Arif Rao, four robbers riding two motorcycles stopped a Suzuki van and tried to loot the passengers. When a police van arrived, the miscreants opened fire at them. The police retaliated, injuring two of the suspects while the other two escaped.
Rao stated that the injured robbers, whose identities could not be determined, succumbed to their injuries while being shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. Further investigation is underway.
