Pak may halt operations if funds not issued: Defence Secretary
Defence Secretary Athar Ali Khan said on Thursday that Pakistan has told the US that it may stop military operations Dif the US does not issue coalition support funds to Pakistan.
Briefing the Public Accounts Committee, he said Rs2.76 trillion had been allocated for the Ministry of Defence, along with an additional grant.
However, he said expenditures exceeded this amount, adding up to more than Rs2.86 trillion.
He explained that spending on the transportation and movement of the army has risen by Rs10 billion during the war on terror.
