JHADO:
Residents of Jhado and adjoining areas protested against prolonged power outages in front of the Jhado Press Club on Wednesday. The protestors took to the streets to express their anger at the inefficiency of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO). According to the protestors, load shedding in their area lasts almost 12 hours. They said that frequent power outages have now caused a water shortage in the region. The protestors were further irritated by the fact that HESCO officials were not in their offices to register complaints. Representatives of different political parties were also at the protest, including Mirpurkhas Jamaat-e-Islami district chief Dr Shamshad Ali Khan and Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Jhado president Muhammed Ashfaq Rabbani.
