ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has said that it has received as many as 7,495 applications for the allotment of apartments in five residential projects.
These applications, the authority said, was received until the end of February.
An official in the Ministry of Housing and Works told APP that residential schemes, for which applications have been received, include Lifestyle Residency, Indus Vista, Skyline Apartments, Chaklala Heights, and Kashmir Avenue Project.
The authority had sought applications and consent from registered members through advertisements to apply for allotment of apartments.
At the moment, the official said that the process of receiving consent or membership forms from banks (Askari Bank & Bank of Punjab) is still going on.
Separately, the Pakistan Housing Authority-Foundation (PHA-F) is currently processing two projects, while 1,350 housing units are under construction.
However, he said that they have yet to start the process of scrutiny of applications because the ministry has been unable to provide details of grade-wise allottees.
However, some 12,347 housing units will be allotted to successful applicants, the official assured.
To a question, the official said that the ministry has so far received some Rs 23.235 billion from eligible members who had expressed their consent to obtain residential plots in multiple residential schemes in the federal capital over the past ten years.
Moreover, the FGEHA has issued consent letters to its members for at least six housing schemes including Green Enclave-I, Green Enclave-II, Thallian Housing Scheme, housing schemes in sector F-14 and F-15 and Park Road Housing Scheme, the official said.
The authority has received Rs1.076 billion from members of Green Enclave-I in Bhara Kahu, Rs6.017 billion from Green Enclave-II in Bhara Kahu, Rs11.88 billion from Sector F-14 and F-15, Rs2.463 billion from Thallian Housing Scheme and Rs1.8 million from Park Road.
