SUKKUR:

Four people were killed in an armed clash between two groups of the Jatoi clan over disputed land in the katcha area of the Sukkur district on Tuesday morning.

Sources say that some of the Jatoi villagers were busy working on agricultural land, when a group of armed people appeared and opened fire.

The villagers returned fire and as a result, three people including cousins Abdul Majeed Jatoi, Abdul Hameed Jatoi and Abubakar Jatoi were killed on the spot, while Allah Wadhayo Jatoi was injured and shifted to Civil Hospital Sukkur, where he died.

Bagarji police handed over the bodies to the respective families, but no case was registered until the filing of this report.

According to local residents, the two groups, both from the Jatoi clan, have been at war for the last ten years over the disputed land and so far ten people from either side have been killed.
