Speaking about the arrests, Malir SSP Ali Raza said that cases had been registered against them under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), pertaining to disobeying an order promulgated by a public servant, for violating the ban imposed on public gatherings.

Meanwhile, on Friday, the police raided a barber shop and a hotel in Korangi and arrested the owners of both the businesses for not complying with the Sindh government’s orders to keep commercial entities closed for a period of 15 days.
The raid on the Quetta Abdur Rehman Hotel was carried out by Zaman Town Police. Police arrested the hotel owner, Abdul Wahab, and registered an FIR against him.
Similarly, Korangi Industrial Area Police raided the barber shop and arrested the shop owner, Iqbal. A case against Iqbal is registered against Section 188 of the PPC.
Separately, Kharadar Police conducted a number of raids and arrested four persons for selling sanitisers at inflated rates. They recovered 306 bottles of sanitisers during the raids and the arrested persons have been identified as Suleman, Faizan, Farooq and Anwar.
