KARACHI: The schedule for the O and A Level examinations will not be changed despite the global health emergency caused by novel coronavirus pandemic forcing the government to close all educational institutions across Pakistan till April 5.
Cambridge Assessment International Education's Country Director Uzma Yousuf confirmed on Saturday.
“We are aware of government announcements in Pakistan about school closures. We are talking to relevant government authorities to understand the situation and implications for students sitting exams,” Yousuf said.

“Cambridge exams work on an international timetable which takes 18 months to put together, so we are unable to change it,” she added.
She went on to say that they are working on ways to “support students who cannot take some of all of their exams”.
Schools across the country have temporarily been closed owing to the rising number of coronavirus cases in the country.
The federal government announced a closure till April 5 while Sindh says its schools must be closed till May 31.
The decision comes in the wake of 31 coronavirus cases being reported across Pakistan.
