Elected representatives have put forth their recommendations for solving problems of their respective constituencies, he said.
The chief minister said that comprehensive discussions on development schemes with regard to the Annual Development Programme for the next fiscal year took place.
Buzdar said development work would be undertaken after consultation with elected representatives regarding their constituencies and positive results of these consultations would surface in the next financial year’s budget.
“It will prove to be beneficial for ascertaining priorities of the development programmes that are to be undertaken for every division in the coming budget,” he pledged.
“The whole team will keep on advancing forward with unity in its journey for rendering public service and no one will be allowed to create impediments in the work of elected representatives.”
He claimed that the past governments’ artificial projects had squandered the national exchequer. “The previous rulers ignored genuine priorities of the people of the province.”
CM Sardar Usman Buzdar asserted that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has abolished wrong practices of the past rulers and the culture of pomp and show in politics has been done away with.
Time of making verbal promises has passed and now concrete work is not only undertaken but also implemented, the CM said, adding that the government will further improve education and health facilities in not only the cities but also far-flung areas.
While revealing further details, Buzdar said water filtration plants would be installed by the Aab Pak Authority and Rs8 billion have been allocated for the purpose.
During the second phase of Naya Pakistan Manzilen Asaan Programme, repair and construction of rural roads will continue and every area will be granted special funds for the work.
A committee has been constituted for setting up new districts and tehsils across the province, he stated.
“New districts and tehsils will be established in the light of recommendations put forth by the constituted committee headed by Provincial Law Minister Raja Basharat.”
The chief minister also said that those areas which lagged behind in the journey of progress would be given their due rights and the government would improve public facilities in these areas.
“Every work is being carried out on merit in Punjab. I have neither allowed anyone to work against merit nor will allow anyone to do so in the future,” he claimed.
He warned that mafias looting h people will not be tolerated no matter what and a policy to regularise Katchi Abadies has also been chalked out.
“Mafias grabbing state land will be taken to their logical end and operations against land grabbers will continue relentlessly without succumbing to any pressure.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has formulated a concrete policy in order to solve problems of the masses relating to every district,” the chief minister concluded.
