The meeting at the Prime Minister House was also attended by Planning Minister Asad Umar and well as secretaries of the relevant ministries.
It was the first meeting between the two since the MQM-P leader resigned as the information technology minister. According to sources, Siddiqi was informed about the progress on the development schemes.
The prime minister assured the MQM-P leader that the government would address the reservations of the allies.
In a statement after the meeting, Siddiqi said that the federal government now appeared serious in addressing the issues, which should have been settled one and a half years ago.
He expressed the hope that a final solution would be agreed within a week.
