Sofia Kenin beats Garbine Muguruza in Australian Open final

American becomes youngest Australian Open women’s singles champion with 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 win

American 21-year-old Sofia Kenin won her maiden grand slam title by beating Garbine Muguruza in the women's singles final of the Australian Open.









Kenin started the match by losing the first set 4-6 against Muguruza, however, she fought back and won the next two sets 6-2, 6-2 in a dominating fashion.
