KARACHI: An arrested duo that had stolen gold worth millions of rupees from a jewellery shop in Liaquat Market has reportedly been found to be murderers and proclaimed offenders that had previously escaped court.

The two men, reportedly brothers-in-law Qamar Shehzad, son of Nizamuddin, and Liaquat Ali alias Ustad, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin, were previously been booked in a murder case at Paniari Police Station in Hyderabad. According to the police, the two have allegedly confessed to jointly murdering Kainat, Shehzad's wife.

Shehzad reportedly stated that he, along with his sister Hameeda and her husband Ali, had tortured Kainat due to a marital dispute. Kainat died as a result of the injuries she sustained.

Kainat's father, Nasir Khan, had registered a murder case against Shehzad, Ali and Hameeda with the Pinari police. Following this, the Hyderabad police carried out a search for the perpetrators in Lahore but to no avail.
