Atari, founded in 1972, dominated the early videogame market with classic games such as Pong, Asteroids and Missile Command.
However, an industry decline in the 80s the video game pioneer was unable to find a market for its product hence the old-school console went obsolete.

Changing its gear Atari has invested in the hospitality industry and is licensing its brand to a real estate developer who is set to build eight hotels all over the United States with the first location being Phoenix.
The main attraction of the hotels is their esports studios that will feature "Atari gaming playground." where guests would have gaming PCs available.

Atari has made a hefty paycheck from licensing; the game company received $600,000 as advance payment and has a 5% share in each hotel’s revenue.
