19 arrested for involvement in robberies

Snatched motorbikes, mobile phones, narcotics, liquor and weapons were recovered from them

ISLAMABAD:
The capital police have arrested 19 suspects, including four suspect members of two criminal gangs, involved in several incidents of robberies and street crime.

Snatched motorbikes, mobile phones, narcotics, liquor and weapons were recovered from them, a police spokesperson said on Monday.


The Islamabad Police had enhanced vigilance across the city following directions of IGP Islamabad Police Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and Operations- DIG Waqaruddin Syed.

Industrial Area SP Zubair Ahmed Shaikh constituted squads under supervision of SDPO Sabzi Mandi Ghulam Muhammad Baqir including SHO Sabzi Mandi police station Sub-Inspector Imran Haider along with others that succeeded to nab three suspects involved in various robbery incidents at IJP Road. They were identified as Aftab alias Tabi, Merain Khan and Adnan alias Addou.
