Using an online food delivery app, woman tracked by her abusive ex-partner

Ordering food online is fast and convenient, without having to go through any hassle you can get your favourite meal from the restaurant to your doorstep.

However, if your account is not secured in the proper way then these apps can also become life-threatening.

One such story is of a woman who was tracked down by her violent ex-partner three times after ordering takeaway at her new residence using the Just Eat app.

The abusive ex-partner was able to discover the victim despite her moving houses several times in the past year.

Charity Juno Women’s Aid, a women’s refuge centre took to their Twitter handle to send out a series of warning tweets to raise awareness on this issue and urged people to check their security settings to protect themselves from such traumatising violence and harassment.
