CDA demolishes encroachment in Ghauri Town

Action taken on the requests of residents of the area

ISLAMABAD:
The anti-encroachment authorities in the federal capital on Saturday demolished illegal structures and encroachments during an operation in different areas of the city.

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Enforcement Directorate, along with Islamabad's district administration — the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) and the Islamabad Police, removed illegal encroachments in the commercial area of Ghauri Town and confiscated four truckloads of encroachment materials. This material was later shifted to the CDA store.

Furthermore, shopkeepers in this area were also instructed to remove illegal installations voluntarily, otherwise, the authority will take action against them per the law.


Similarly, an under-construction mosque, being constructed illegally in Sector D-12/4, was also removed.

The action was taken on the requests of residents of the area. A complaint in this context was also received through the Prime Minister's portal.

Moreover, illegal encroachments from service road — West, in Sector G-11/4 were also removed and two truckloads of encroachment material were confiscated.
