QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Tuesday urged adherence to Quaid-i- Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s principles to avert challenges that have gripped the country today.

In his message on the 143rd birthday of the founding father of the nation, Balochistan CM stressed upon unity and discipline to steer Pakistan out of current challenges.

“The Quaid’s principles should be followed to avert woes that are pestering Pakistan today. Nation’s father’s guidance provides sustainability to the state,” Kamal said.

He added that though the opponents of Pakistan have been making attempts to destabilise the country, their timid moves could be intercepted with unity.

“Pakistan emerged after colossal sacrifices rendered by our forefathers while the people of Balochistan joined Quaid e Azam’s struggle in building a separate state for the Muslims,” he maintained.

The chief minister said the Quaid shared true attachment with Balochistan.

“The Quaid spent his last days in Ziarat while the people of Balochistan also welcomed him with open arms and rendered love and respect.”

Christmas message

In another message on the eve of Christmas, Kamal expressed well wishes for the Christian community and emphasised religious harmony among all communities living in Balochistan.

“The birthday of Hazrat Isa (AS) is a sacred day for Muslims as well thus the prophet’s message should be fostered to ensure peace in the world,” the CM said as he observed that the Muslims also participate in Christmas celebrations.

Lauding the contribution of Christian community in the development of Pakistan and Balochistan, Kamal said the provincial government has been utilising all resources to secure the rights of the minorities, pledging implementation on job quota for minorities in the province.

He also stressed upon people who are celebrating Christmas to share greetings and their happiness with the underprivileged as well, who are unable to provide new clothes to their children. Kamal also directed strict security arrangements during Christmas celebrations and ordered LEAs to beef up security of all churches across the province.
