Twitter comes to Taylor Swift's defense after egg-count trolling
Far-right Canadian Youtuber wrote the singer should hurry to have kids before 30
Twitter has rushed to singer Taylor Swift's defense after an odd social media share over her reproductive egg-count recently sparked anger from fans.
It all started when a far-right Canadian Youtuber known for “his promotion of scientific racism and eugenics," according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, wrote, “I can’t believe Taylor Swift is about to turn 30 — she still looks so young."
But that isn't all he said about the 29-year-old star. He continued, "It’s strange to think that 90% of her eggs are already gone — 97% by the time she turns 40 — so I hope she thinks about having kids before it’s too late! She’d be a fun mom," reported InStyle.
Understandably, the Twitter factions and fans of the You Need To Calm Down hit-maker rioted in the comments. "Congratulations, this is the worst thing I've ever seen," one user replied furiously.
Others pointed out that the man, 53-year-old Stefan Molyneux, has a high percentage of hair reduction. "It’s strange to think that 97% of his hair is already gone - he only had 90% when he turned 50- so I hope he thinks about having a hair transplant before it’s too late," a Twitter user mused.
Taylor Swift to become Billboard's first ever Woman of the Decade
The tweets coming to Swift's defense just kept rolling in. One user on the social media platform countered, "<looks at hugely successful creative artist and businesswoman> “Such a shame this barely sentient walking womb hasn’t whelped offspring, at age 30 she’s over twice the nubile age.”
"Just incredible to me how naïve I was 30 seconds ago when I thought this was the creepiest thing I'd see about eggs today," another wrote.
Seems like the egg count joke about Swift didn't impress many on Twitter.
