Flood warning for Nullah Leh withdrawn
Water level in drain recedes as rain stops.
The flood warning issued earlier for Nullah Leh in Rawalpindi was withdrawn on Saturday as the water level in the drain started to recede.
The warning was issued following a 67-milimetre rain in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad; however, the rain has stopped and there is no flood threat now.
Earlier, residents around the drain were asked to relocate to safer places as water level had risen considerably in the nullah.
The authorities made arrangements to cope with any untoward happening and special phones lines were set up to provide help to the residents in case of an emergency.
