Punjab wildlife dept to take action against use of jeeps for hunting
Regional officers directed to take action against those who violate the Wildlife Act
LAHORE:
The Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department has taken notice pertaining to the use of jeeps and other prohibited vehicles during hunting.
The wildlife department has directed the regional officers across the province to ensure the implementation of the Wildlife Act and take action against those who violate the Act.
The notice issued by the head office read that the use of jeeps and other vehicles for hunting in designated areas and reserve districts in the province is prohibited, and in violation of the Wildlife Act.
All regional officers in their respective areas ensure that no jeeps and other vehicles should be used in the area designated for hunting. In case of violation, not only the person who violated the act but the concerned officer would also be taken into the account and strict measures will be taken against the violators.
