RAWALPINDI: Senior police officials have decided to keep all the records related to Sohail Ayaz confidential. The limited details on the progress of the case would only be shared through press conferences.

The suspect was a peadophile who raped more than 30 children and uploaded their videos on the dark web.

The decision was made during a meeting to discuss the suspect’s network. The meeting was held at Regional Police Officer (RPO) office in Lal Kurti on Saturday.

The senior police officials were of the view that sharing all the details of the investigation with the media could possibly prove advantageous for other suspects linked with the network.

The meeting was attended by the police, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials.
