Celebratory rally: End of local government feted

A rally to celebrate the abolition of the local government system which was introduced by General Musharraf

UBAURO: A rally to celebrate the abolition of the local government system, which was introduced by General Pervez Musharraf, was organised. The rally began from Mirpur Mathelo in Ghotki district and was joined by people from Ubauro and Dharki. They marched to the highway where Sindh and Punjab connect. Haq said that the masses had been demanding an end to this system for a long time. Pakistan Peoples Party’s MNA Pir Mian Abdul Haq led the rally.
