Seminar held on Baba Guru Nanak
Kalyan Singh says issuing of free visas on Baba Guru Nanak's birthday is a gift from the people of Pakistan
Lahore Arts Council (LAC) organised a seminar in connection with the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak in Alhamra Hall 3, at Alhamra Art Centre, the Mall. At the seminar, the speakers discussed and highlighted the life of Baba Guru Nanak Sahib.
On the occasion, Kalyan Singh highlighted that the founder of Sikhism challenged the cruel customs in society and helped the oppressed. He added that the Kartarpur Corridor, the Guru Nanak University, the issuing of postage coins and the issuing of free visas on his birthday are all gifts from the people of Pakistan for the Sikh community.

Dr Akhtar Sindhu, while addressing the seminar, said that Baba Guru Nanak worked with the people for the welfare of society and he worked for the betterment of the people of his time.
LAC Executive Director Ather Ali Khan said that Baba Guru Nanak always took the path of peace and tolerance.
