Security for Azadi March reviewed

Officials will continuously monitor Azadi march, other activities through CCTV cameras

LAHORE: Lahore DIG Operations Ashfaq Khan reviewed security arrangements for Azadi March during a meeting on Tuesday.

The overall law and order situation of the city, as well as measures taken to control crime, were also reviewed on the occasion.

The DIG stated that law and order in the city are under control and the Lahore police is on high alert for the safety of its citizens.

He maintained that Lahore police will fully implement the given standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure citizen’s security.

Teams from the Dolphin Squad, the Police Response Unit (PRU) and the Elite Force will ensure effective patrolling while vehicles and other citizens will be thoroughly searched on all entry and exit points in the city.

Officials will continuously monitor Azadi march and other activities through CCTV cameras installed by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority.
