Buledi stresses promotion of culture  

The government allocates Rs200 million for the betterment of artistes

Balochistan Secretary for Culture and Tourism Zafar Ali Buledi has said that it is the collective responsibility of everyone to work for the development of horticulture and preservation of culture as the provincial government was fully aware of its importance and was working towards it.

“Culture is an important part of our heritage. It is important that we keep it alive and work towards it preservation,” Buledi said while addressing a seminar on the promotion of culture.

He said that the provincial government had allocated Rs200 million, which will be utilised for the betterment of artistes.

"Artistes are considered the ambassadors of a community. A committee has been formed to look after their issues and has been tasked to compile a report," Buledi remarked.

The secretary said that the government would ensure the provision of facilities to those artistes who were suffering from fatal diseases.
