Pak-China Friendship: Chinese mountaineer forgives rogue driver

Police in Skardu say they withdrew the case after the patch up.

A Chinese mountaineer who was seriously injured after being hit by a car pardoned the driver in the name of Pakistan-China friendship.


The mountaineer, Rootian Feng, was seriously injured after being hit near Mashabrum Hotel, sources told The Express Tribune on Monday.

Sources added that Feng became emotional, and magnanimously pardoned the driver in the name of the friendship between the two countries.

Police in Skardu said they withdrew the case after the patch up.

The Chinese mountaineer had reportedly come to Skardu to ascend a peak. No more details of this venture were available.
