NP to protest ‘meddling’ in affairs of coastal areas

QUETTA: National Party (NP) leaders in Sindh have announced they will hold a demonstration against National Highway Authority (NHA) in front of Karachi Press Club on Oct 6.

According to a statement issued by NP, senior leadership including the party president Dr Abdul Malik Balock, central head Mir Hasil Bizenjo, central secretary-general Jan Muhammad Buledi and other senior leaders will attend the protest.

It stated that the party condemns interference of the federal government through National Highway Authority in the provincial matters of coastal areas of Balochistan and Sindh, violating the constitution.

Any attempt by the federal government to violate the constitution and interfere in the provincial affairs will be protested, the party statement said.

The statement further said that coastal areas under the provincial supervision of Balochistan and Sindh are properly functioning and federal government has no intention of developing them.
