Academia: NTU invites research papers

Aim of the contest was to motivate the students to develop research skills and competency.

FAISALABAD: The National Textile University (NTU) Faisalabad has invited research papers from undergraduate students of all departments for the “NTU Research Paper Contest 2011”. An NTU spokesperson said that the aim of the contest was to motivate the students to develop research skills and competency as well as promoting academic research at the institution. He said that after evaluating research papers, the first position holder will be awarded a cash prize of Rs15,000, while the second and third position holders would be given Rs12,000 and Rs9,000 respectively. He said that research papers qualifying for international publication would be forwarded to the relevant journals from different international organizations as well as foreign universities. Interested candidates have been asked to submit their papers along with a brief summary of their research to the Office of Research and Development before December 15, 2011.
