ASP directs the newly deployed officers to promote community policing

Federal police have deployed four Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) in four different police stations of Islamabad as part of police reforms.
According to police, ASP Sarfaraz Ahmed Wirk has been deployed in Bani Gala police station, ASP Farooq Ahmed Buttar in Kohsar police station, ASP Farooq Ahmed Bijarani in Bhara Kahu police station and ASP Abdul Wahab in I-9 police station.
The related officers also met with Islamabad IGP Aamir Zulfiqar. IGP said that ASPs have been appointed at four police stations as per directions of the prime minister to improve the performance of the police.
Police to establish health centres, counters for public
He directed the newly deployed officers to promote community policing and keep in touch with co-ordination committees of their respective jurisdictions.
IG Zulfiqar said that Islamabad police would come up to the expectations of people and curb crime through hard work and cooperation of citizens.
He stated this while addressing a ceremony held at Police Line Headquarters to return the recovered valuables to their actual owners.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, SP (Investigation) Syed Mustafa Tanveer, Additional SP Zeeshan Haider, AIG (Operations) Sumera Azam, Zonal SPs, SDPOs and members of conciliatory committee were also present on the occasion.
The IGP said the government has approved the recruitment against 1,250 posts and required strength would be completed within next month.
