Triple murder: 3 women of a family gunned down by youth

Police officials said that several raids were being conducted for the arrest of accused Ghulam Muhammad.

Three women of a family were gunned down by a young man over a domestic dispute on Sunday. According to police officials, the incident took place in Chak No197-GB in the limits of the Mureedwala Police Station nearly 50 kilometres from Faisalabad.


Police officials claimed that accused Ghulam Muhammad alias ‘Nanha’ quarrelled with his family members while they were discussing the marriage of two of his sisters. Muhammad’s cousins wished to marry the women but he refused the match. Things took a violent turn when Ghulam Muhammad opened indiscriminate fire on his family and ended up injuring four people and killing three women in the house. Muhammad’s wife Qudassia, his sister-in-law Roma Shahzadi and his sister Asima were shot and died on the spot. Mureedwala police have registered cases against the accused and are searching for Muhammad after he fled the village.

Police officials said that several raids were being conducted for the arrest of accused Ghulam Muhammad. The bodies of the three women have been sent for an autopsy.
